The Bachchan family

The Bachchan family (Hindi) is a prominent Indian family, headed by Amitabh Bachchan, from which many members have participated in the Indian film industry.
It also includes his wife, actress Jaya Bhaduri, his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Shweta Nanda, son-in-law Nikhil Nanda and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It also includes Shweta's children Agastya Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda. Almost the entire family is involved in the film industry.Time listed Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai on its list of most influential Indians.^[1]

Overview

Amitabh Bachchan is the son of Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan.^[2] The family has inter-married with the Kapoor Family. Shweta Nanda is married to Nikhil Nanda, the son of Ritu Nanda and the grandson of actor Raj Kapoor. The family stay in the two famous houses Jalsa and Pratheeksha in Mumbai.^[3]
